Summary
CVE-2024-22415 is a cyber vulnerability affecting jupyter-lsp, a coding assistance tool for JupyterLab. This vulnerability allows unauthorized access and modification of the file system beyond the jupyter root directory in installations of jupyter-lsp running in environments without configured file system access control and with exposed jupyter-server instances to non-trusted networks. The issue has been patched in version 2.2.2, and users are advised to upgrade. If upgrading is not possible, uninstalling jupyter-lsp is recommended.
