Summary
CVE-2024-22234 is a vulnerability found in Spring Security versions 6.1.x prior to 6.1.7 and versions 6.2.x prior to 6.2.2. This vulnerability arises when an application directly uses the AuthenticationTrustResolver.isFullyAuthenticated(Authentication) method and passes a null authentication parameter, which results in an incorrect true return value. To remediate this vulnerability, applications should avoid using AuthenticationTrustResolver.isFullyAuthenticated(Authentication) directly or ensure that null is not passed to it. The potential danger of this vulnerability is high, as it can lead to broken access control, compromising the confidentiality and integrity of an organization's data.
