Summary
CVE-2024-22202 is a vulnerability affecting phpMyFAQ, an open-source FAQ web application. The user removal page in phpMyFAQ allows an attacker to spoof another user's details and submit a form to delete their account. The form data can be intercepted using a proxy, enabling the attacker to make a phishing case for removing an account they do not control. Administrators cannot distinguish between legitimate user requests and attacker-initiated requests, making this a potential security risk. This issue has been resolved in version 3.2.5 of phpMyFAQ.
