Summary
CVE-2024-22198 is a vulnerability that affects Nginx-UI, a web interface used to manage Nginx configurations. The vulnerability allows for arbitrary command execution by exploiting certain configuration settings. Specifically, the "Terminal Start Command" setting can be modified through an API request, even though it is not directly editable in the user interface. This security issue could potentially lead to authenticated remote code execution, privilege escalation, and information disclosure. The vulnerability has been patched in version 2.0.0.beta.9 of Nginx-UI.
