Summary

CVE-2024-22164 is a vulnerability in Splunk Enterprise Security (ES) versions below 7.1.2, which allows an attacker to perform a denial of service (DoS) attack on the Investigation feature. This vulnerability occurs due to the lack of proper size limitation on investigation attachments, allowing the attacker to cause the Investigation to become inaccessible.
