Summary

CVE-2024-21985 is a vulnerability that affects ONTAP 9 versions prior to 9.9.1P18, 9.10.1P16, 9.11.1P13, 9.12.1P10, and 9.13.1P4. It allows an authenticated user with multiple remote accounts and different roles to perform actions via REST API beyond their intended privilege level. This could result in the user being able to view limited configuration details and metrics or modify limited settings, potentially leading to a Denial of Service (DoS) attack. The vulnerability has a risk score of 26 and a base severity rating of HIGH according to the CVSS version 3.1 scoring system.
