Summary
CVE-2024-21851 is a newly discovered vulnerability in OpenHarmony v4.0.0 and earlier versions. This issue grants local attackers the ability to induce heap overflow through integer overflows. The vulnerability arises due to inadequate input validation mechanisms, leading to potential memory corruption and unintended code execution. An attacker could exploit this flaw to execute arbitrary code, potentially leading to serious security consequences, such as data theft or system takeover.
