Summary

CVE-2024-2184 is a buffer overflow vulnerability affecting several multifunction and laser printers from Satera and i-SENSYS, including the MF740C, MF640C, LBP660C, LBP620C, X MF1127C, LBP664Cdw, LBP622Cdw, X LBP1127C, MF750C, X MF1333C, LBP674Cdw, and C1333P series. This issue is found in the identifier field of WSD probe request process and can cause the affected products to become unresponsive if exploited by an attacker on the network segment. In severe cases, arbitrary code execution is possible in firmware versions v12.07 and earlier for Satera products sold in Japan, and v03.09 and earlier for Satera and i-SENSYS products sold in Japan, the US, and Europe.
