CVE-2024-21782

Summary

CVE-2024-21782 is a newly discovered vulnerability affecting BIG-IP and BIG-IQ systems. It allows Resource Administrators and Certificate Managers with access to the secure copy (scp) utility, but not to Advanced shell (bash), to execute arbitrary commands. This issue stems from an incomplete fix for the previously known vulnerability, CVE-2020-5873. Notably, software versions that have reached their End of Technical Support are not subject to evaluation or remediation for this issue.
