Details
Summary
CVE-2024-21670 is a vulnerability affecting the Ursa cryptographic library used with blockchains. The flaw lies in the revocation schema of the Ursa CL-Signatures implementation, potentially compromising the privacy guarantees of the AnonCreds verifiable credential model. A malicious holder of a revoked credential could generate a valid Non-Revocation Proof, leading a verifier to incorrectly perceive the credential as "not revoked." Unfortunately, Ursa has reached end-of-life status, and no fix is expected. The vulnerability has a base severity rating of MEDIUM, requiring high privileges and user interaction, with a physical attack vector and high impact on integrity and confidentiality.
