Summary
CVE-2024-21667 is a vulnerability in the pimcore/customer-data-framework, a Customer Management Framework used for managing customer data within Pimcore. The vulnerability allows an authenticated and unauthorized user to access the GDPR data extraction feature and query customer data, resulting in the exposure of personally identifiable information (PII) of customers. The permissions are not enforced for the `/admin/customermanagementframework/gdpr-data/search-data-objects` endpoint, allowing unauthorized users to access and query sensitive data. This vulnerability has been addressed in version 4.0.6 of the framework. The potential danger this vulnerability poses to an organization is high, as it enables unauthorized access to customer PII, leading to privacy breaches and potential legal consequences for non-compliance with GDPR regulations.
