Summary
CVE-2024-21654 is a vulnerability affecting Rubygems.org, the Ruby community's gem hosting service. Despite Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA) protection, account takeover is possible if an attacker manages to compromise the email account. An attacker can bypass MFA through a workaround on the forgotten password form, allowing unauthorized access to the account. This issue has been resolved with commit 0b3272a.
