Summary

CVE-2024-21654 is a vulnerability affecting Rubygems.org, the gem hosting service for the Ruby community. This vulnerability allows attackers to bypass the multi-factor authentication (MFA) requirement on the forgotten password form, enabling them to take over user accounts. Users with MFA enabled are normally protected from account takeover in case of email account compromise.
