Details
Summary
CVE-2024-21642 is a vulnerability affecting D-Tale, a visualizer for Pandas data structures. Versions of D-Tale prior to 3.9.0 are susceptible to server-side request forgery (SSRF), which allows attackers to access files on the server. To remediate this vulnerability, users should upgrade to version 3.9.0, where the "Load From the Web" input is turned off by default. For earlier versions, the only workaround is to host D-Tale exclusively for trusted users. This vulnerability poses a potential danger to organizations as it can be exploited by attackers to gain unauthorized access to sensitive files on the server, potentially compromising confidentiality.
