Summary

CVE-2024-21624 is a vulnerability that affects the no more nonebot2, a cross-platform Python asynchronous chatbot framework. The vulnerability involves an information leak in instances where developers use `MessageTemplate` and incorporate user-provided data into templates, potentially exposing environment variables. The vulnerability has been remedied in pull request #2509 and will be included in versions released from 2.2.0. Users are advised to upgrade to the patched versions to protect against the vulnerability. As a temporary workaround, filtering underscores before incorporating user input into the message template can be implemented. This vulnerability has a base severity of MEDIUM, with high confidentiality impact but no integrity or availability impact, according to the National Vulnerability Database (NVD).
