Summary

CVE-2024-21614 is an Improper Check for Unusual or Exceptional Conditions vulnerability in the Routing Protocol Daemon (RPD) of Juniper Networks Junos OS and Junos OS Evolved. This vulnerability allows an unauthenticated attacker to cause the RPD to crash, resulting in a Denial of Service (DoS) attack. The vulnerability affects Juniper Networks Junos OS versions earlier than 22.2R2-S2, 22.2R3, and Junos OS Evolved versions earlier than 22.2R2-S2-EVO, 22.2R3-EVO. To remediate this issue, organizations should update their Juniper Networks software to the latest available version.
