Summary

CVE-2024-21524 is a newly disclosed vulnerability affecting all versions of the node-stringbuilder package. The issue arises due to an incorrect memory length calculation when using methods such as ToBuffer, ToString, or CharAt on a StringBuilder object with a non-empty string value input. This can result in an out-of-bounds read, allowing an attacker to access previously allocated memory. The potential impact of this vulnerability is information disclosure.
