Summary
CVE-2024-21523 is a Denial of Service (DoS) vulnerability affecting all versions of the package. The issue arises due to unexpected input types provided to several functions, causing an assert macro to be reached and resulting in a process crash. Specific integer values, such as 0, can trigger a Segmentation fault error leading to the crash.
