Details
Summary
CVE-2024-21519 is a newly identified vulnerability affecting versions of the opencart/opencart package from 4.0.0.0. This issue involves an Arbitrary File Creation vulnerability in the database restoration functionality. With admin privileges, attackers can inject PHP code into the database and create backup files with arbitrary filenames (including extensions) within the /system/storage/backup directory. Although it is recommended to keep the storage path outside of the web root to reduce the risk of the created file being accessible, this vulnerability still poses a significant security risk.
