Summary
CVE-2024-21366 is a newly disclosed vulnerability affecting Microsoft's Windows Defender Application Control (WDAC) OLE DB provider for SQL Server. This issue allows an attacker to execute arbitrary code remotely, potentially gaining unauthorized access to affected systems. An attacker can exploit this vulnerability by supplying specially crafted data through SQL Server, which leads to code execution in the context of the WDAC OLE DB provider.
