Summary
CVE-2024-21365 denotes a Remote Code Execution vulnerability in Microsoft's Windows Defender Application Control (WDAC) OLE DB provider for SQL Server. An attacker can exploit this weakness by crafting a specially designed database query. Successful exploitation grants the attacker the ability to run arbitrary code in the security context of the SQL Server service, potentially leading to significant data loss or unauthorized system access.
