Summary

CVE-2024-20923 is a vulnerability impacting Oracle Java SE and Oracle GraalVM Enterprise Edition, specifically versions 8u391 of Java SE and 20.3.12, 21.3.8 of GraalVM Enterprise Edition. This issue allows unauthenticated attackers to gain unauthorized read access to a subset of affected software's data through network access using multiple protocols. However, successful exploitation requires human interaction. This vulnerability primarily affects Java deployments that load and run untrusted code, such as those running sandboxed Java Web Start applications or applets.
