Summary

CVE-2024-20805 is a newly disclosed vulnerability affecting the ZipCompressor component of MyFiles prior to the SMR Jan-2024 Release 1 in Android 11 and Android 12, as well as version 14.5.00.21 in Android 13. This issue permits local attackers to exploit a path traversal vulnerability and write arbitrary files, potentially leading to significant data compromise or unauthorized system access. Attackers can take advantage of this flaw by manipulating Zip files, resulting in potential security risks for affected users.
