Summary
CVE-2024-20754 is a newly identified vulnerability affecting Adobe Lightroom Desktop versions 7.1.2 and prior. This issue involves an Untrusted Search Path vulnerability, which can lead to arbitrary code execution in the context of the current user. If the Lightroom application utilizes a search path to locate critical resources like programs, an attacker can manipulate this path to point to a malicious program. Consequently, the application could unintentionally execute the malicious code when the victim opens a tampered file. Users are advised to update their Lightroom Desktop software as soon as possible to mitigate this risk.
