Summary
CVE-2024-20684 is a newly disclosed denial-of-service (DoS) vulnerability affecting Microsoft's Hyper-V hypervisor in Windows. This issue allows an unauthenticated attacker to send specially crafted packets to a Hyper-V server, causing it to consume significant amounts of CPU resources and potentially leading to a denial-of-service condition. The vulnerability can be exploited remotely with no user interaction required, posing a serious threat to organizations that rely on Hyper-V for virtualization.
