Summary
CVE-2024-20354 is a vulnerability affecting Cisco Aironet Access Point (AP) Software. It allows unauthenticated, adjacent attackers to trigger a denial of service (DoS) condition by sending malformed encrypted wireless frames that are not properly handled. As a result, the affected device experiences degradation of service, which could potentially lead to a complete DoS condition. This issue arises due to incomplete cleanup of resources when dropping specific frames. Attackers can exploit this vulnerability by connecting as a wireless client to an affected AP and transmitting malformed frames over the wireless connection.
