Summary

CVE-2024-20354 is a vulnerability that affects Cisco Aironet Access Point (AP) Software. It allows an unauthenticated attacker who is adjacent to the affected device to cause a denial of service (DoS) condition. The vulnerability occurs due to incomplete cleanup of resources when dropping certain malformed frames. The attacker can exploit this vulnerability by connecting as a wireless client to the affected AP and sending specific malformed frames, which can lead to degradation of service for other clients and potentially result in a complete DoS condition. The base severity of this vulnerability is rated as MEDIUM, with an exploitability score of 2.8 out of 10. Cisco has not provided any remediation information at this time.
