Summary
CVE-2024-20346 is a vulnerability found in the web-based management interface of Cisco AppDynamics Controller. It can be exploited by an authenticated, remote attacker to perform a reflected cross-site scripting (XSS) attack on a user of the interface. The vulnerability is a result of insufficient validation of user-supplied input. To exploit this vulnerability, the attacker needs to persuade the user to click on a malicious link. Successful exploitation could allow the attacker to execute arbitrary script code in the context of the affected interface or access sensitive browser-based information. The base severity of this vulnerability is medium, according to the CVE rating.
