Summary

CVE-2024-20346 is a newly disclosed vulnerability affecting the web-based management interface of Cisco AppDynamics Controller. This issue permits an authenticated, remote attacker to carry out reflected cross-site scripting (XSS) attacks against users of the interface on affected devices. The vulnerability arises due to inadequate input validation by the web interface, which could be exploited by an attacker through malicious links. Successful exploitation could result in the execution of arbitrary script code in the context of the affected interface or unauthorized access to sensitive browser-based information.
