Summary

CVE-2024-20336 is a vulnerability found in the web-based user interface of Cisco Small Business 100, 300, and 500 Series Wireless APs. An authenticated, remote attacker with valid administrative credentials could exploit this vulnerability to perform buffer overflow attacks on the affected device. The vulnerability stems from insufficient validation of user-supplied input. By sending a crafted HTTP request to the device's web-based management interface, an attacker could execute arbitrary code as the root user on the underlying operating system.
