Summary

CVE-2024-2028 is a stored Cross-Site Scripting (XSS) vulnerability affecting the Covid-19 Stats Widget in the Exclusive Addons for Elementor plugin for WordPress. This issue, present in all versions up to 2.6.9, allows authenticated attackers with contributor-level access or higher to inject malicious scripts. These scripts will be executed whenever an affected page is accessed, posing a significant security risk. The root cause of this vulnerability is insufficient input sanitization and output escaping, which enables attackers to manipulate data stored within the plugin.
