Summary

CVE-2024-20258 is a vulnerability in the web-based management interface of Cisco AsyncOS Software for Cisco Secure Email and Web Manager and Secure Email Gateway. It could potentially allow an unauthenticated, remote attacker to conduct a cross-site scripting (XSS) attack against a user of the interface. The vulnerability is caused by insufficient validation of user input. An attacker could exploit this by tricking a user into clicking a malicious link. If successful, the attacker could execute arbitrary script code or gain access to sensitive browser-based information. The affected products include gZFHvl, J2Sqra, and gZFHvj.
