Summary

CVE-2024-1946 is a Stored Cross-Site Scripting (XSS) vulnerability affecting the Genesis Blocks plugin for WordPress. This issue, present in versions 3.1.2 and below, allows authenticated attackers with contributor access and above to inject arbitrary web scripts. These scripts will execute whenever a user accesses an injected page, posing a significant security risk. The root cause is insufficient input sanitization and output escaping within the plugin. Upgrading to the latest version is strongly recommended to mitigate this vulnerability.
