Summary
CVE-2024-1782 is a Reflected Cross-Site Scripting (XSS) vulnerability affecting the Blue Triad EZAnalytics plugin for WordPress. This issue, present in all versions up to 1.0, stems from insufficient input sanitization and output escaping of the 'bt_webid' parameter. Consequently, unauthenticated attackers can inject arbitrary web scripts into pages, which can be executed when a user is tricked into performing an action, like clicking on a malicious link. This vulnerability poses a significant risk as it allows attackers to steal user data or take control of user sessions. It is essential for WordPress users to update their plugin to the latest version to mitigate this risk.
