Summary

CVE-2024-1772 is a vulnerability found in the Play.ht – Make Your Blog Posts Accessible With Text to Speech Audio plugin for WordPress. This vulnerability exists in all versions up to and including 3.6.4, allowing authenticated attackers with contributor-level access or higher to inject a PHP Object through the deserialization of untrusted input from the play_podcast_data post meta. Although there is no known POP chain present in the vulnerable plugin itself, if a POP chain exists via an additional plugin or theme installed on the target system, it could potentially lead to arbitrary file deletion, retrieval of sensitive data, or code execution.
