Summary

CVE-2024-1770 is a vulnerability found in the Meta Tag Manager plugin for WordPress, affecting all versions up to and including 3.0.2. It is susceptible to PHP Object Injection through the deserialization of untrusted input in the get_post_data function. This vulnerability allows authenticated attackers with contributor access or higher to inject a PHP Object. While there is no POP chain present in the vulnerable plugin, if a POP chain exists via an additional plugin or theme installed on the target system, it could enable the attacker to delete arbitrary files, retrieve sensitive data, or execute code. The risk score for this vulnerability is 65, with a base severity rating of HIGH and an exploitability score of 2.8.
