Details
Summary
CVE-2024-1723 is a Stored Cross-Site Scripting (XSS) vulnerability affecting the SiteOrigin Widgets Bundle plugin for WordPress. This issue, present in all versions up to 1.58.7, stems from insufficient input sanitization and output escaping. As a result, authenticated attackers with contributor access or higher can inject arbitrary web scripts into several parameters, including $instance['fonts']['title_options']['tag'], $headline_tag, $sub_headline_tag, and $feature['icon']. Once inserted, these malicious scripts will execute whenever a user accesses an injected page.
