Summary

CVE-2024-1605 is a vulnerability found in BMC Control-M branches 9.0.20 and 9.0.21. It allows for the loading of potentially malicious Dynamic Link Libraries (DLL) upon user login, as the application loads all DLLs from a directory with Read and Write permissions for all users. This can result in the execution of malicious code with the privileges of the application. To address this vulnerability, a fix was released in version 9.0.20.238 for the 9.0.20 branch and version 9.0.21.201 for the 9.0.21 branch of BMC Control-M software. The vulnerability has a medium base severity rating, with a high impact on confidentiality and low impact on integrity and availability of the affected system or organization's data and operations.
