Details
Summary
CVE-2024-1586 is a Stored Cross-Site Scripting (XSS) vulnerability affecting the Schema & Structured Data for WP & AMP plugin for WordPress. The issue lies in the plugin's insufficient input sanitization and output escaping, enabling authenticated attackers to inject arbitrary web scripts. These scripts will execute whenever a user accesses an injected page. This vulnerability is present in all versions up to and including 1.26. By default, an admin level of authentication is required to exploit this flaw, but the plugin offers role-based access, making it possible for attackers to target users as low as a subscriber.
