Summary

CVE-2024-1570 is a vulnerability found in the Paid Membership Plugin, Ecommerce, User Registration Form, Login Form, User Profile & Restrict Content – ProfilePress plugin for WordPress. This vulnerability exists in all versions up to and including 4.14.4 and is classified as a Stored Cross-Site Scripting (XSS) vulnerability. It occurs due to insufficient input sanitization and output escaping on user supplied attributes in the plugin's login-password shortcode. The vulnerability allows authenticated attackers with contributor-level and above permissions to inject arbitrary web scripts into pages, which will execute whenever a user accesses an injected page. The risk score for this vulnerability is 25, with a base severity of MEDIUM. Remediation for this issue involves updating to a version of the plugin that addresses the vulnerability.
