Details
Summary
CVE-2024-1537 is a stored cross-site scripting (XSS) vulnerability affecting the Essential Addons for Elementor plugin for WordPress. This issue, present in all versions up to 5.9.9, allows authenticated attackers with contributor-level or higher permissions to inject arbitrary web scripts into the plugin's Data Table widget. The insufficient input sanitization and output escaping on user-supplied attributes enable the execution of these scripts whenever a user accesses an injected page. This vulnerability poses a significant risk, as it can lead to unauthorized access, data theft, and other malicious activities. It is crucial for WordPress users to update the plugin to the latest version to mitigate the threat.
