Summary

CVE-2024-1519 is a vulnerability that affects the Paid Membership Plugin, Ecommerce, User Registration Form, Login Form, User Profile & Restrict Content – ProfilePress plugin for WordPress. The vulnerability exists in all versions up to and including 4.14.4, and is due to insufficient input sanitization and output escaping in the 'name' parameter. This allows unauthenticated attackers to inject arbitrary web scripts into pages, which will execute whenever a user accesses an injected page. To remediate this vulnerability, users should update to a version of the plugin that is not affected. The potential danger posed by this vulnerability includes unauthorized execution of malicious scripts on websites using the vulnerable plugin, potentially leading to unauthorized access or manipulation of user data.
