Summary

CVE-2024-1512: The MasterStudy LMS plugin for WordPress, used for online courses and education, is vulnerable to SQL Injection attacks. Unauthenticated attackers can exploit this vulnerability by appending SQL queries to the 'user' parameter of the /lms/stm-lms/order/items REST route, available up to version 3.2.5. The plugin fails to sufficiently escape user-supplied data and prepare SQL queries, resulting in the execution of malicious SQL queries that can extract sensitive information from the database. This vulnerability poses a significant risk to WordPress sites using the MasterStudy LMS plugin and requires immediate patching to mitigate the threat.
