Summary

CVE-2024-1364 is a vulnerability that affects the Elementor Website Builder Pro plugin for WordPress. This vulnerability allows authenticated attackers with contributor-level and above permissions to inject arbitrary web scripts in pages via the widget's custom_id attribute. It affects all versions of the plugin up to and including 3.20.1. The vulnerability arises due to insufficient input sanitization and output escaping on user-supplied attributes. The potential danger of this vulnerability lies in the ability for attackers to execute malicious scripts whenever a user accesses an injected page. To remediate this vulnerability, it is recommended to update to the latest version of the Elementor Website Builder Pro plugin for WordPress.
