Summary
CVE-2024-1349 is a stored Cross-Site Scripting (XSS) vulnerability affecting the EmbedPress plugin for WordPress, versions up to and including 3.9.8. This issue stems from the plugin's shortcode(s), which lack adequate input sanitization and output escaping for user-supplied attributes. Consequently, authenticated attackers with contributor-level access or higher can inject malicious web scripts, which will execute in the browser of any user who accesses an injected page.
