Summary
CVE-2024-1063 is a new vulnerability affecting Appwrite versions up to 1.4.13. This issue is a Server-Side Request Forgery (SSRF) that arises due to an inadequately addressed Server-Side Request Forgery vulnerability, CVE-2023-27159. The vulnerability allows attackers to send malicious requests to internal servers by manipulating the '/v1/avatars/favicon' endpoint, potentially leading to unauthorized access or data leakage. This vulnerability is a continuation of the previously identified issue, CVE-2023-27159, which was not fully rectified in an earlier patch.
