Summary
CVE-2024-1048: A new vulnerability affects the grub2-set-bootflag utility in grub2. After addressing CVE-2019-14865, grub2-set-bootflag creates a temporary file with updated grubenv content, which is supposed to be renamed to the original file. However, if the program is terminated prior to proper renaming, the temporary file persists and may accumulate, leading to a potential filesystem out of free inodes or blocks due to insufficient space.
