Summary

CVE-2024-1038 is a DOM-Based Reflected Cross-Site Scripting (XSS) vulnerability affecting the Beaver Builder WordPress Page Builder plugin. Versions up to and including 2.7.4.2 are impacted by insufficient input sanitization and output escaping, allowing unauthenticated attackers to inject arbitrary web scripts. Successful exploitation relies on users being tricked into performing an action, such as clicking on a malicious link, which executes the malicious code on the affected page. This vulnerability poses a significant risk to websites utilizing the Beaver Builder plugin and could result in data theft, website defacement, or further exploitation.
