Summary
CVE-2024-0996 is a newly disclosed critical vulnerability that affects the Tenda i9 1.0.0.9(4122) firmware. The issue lies in the function formSetCfm of the httpd component and the file /goform/setcfm. An attacker can manipulate the argument funcpara1 to trigger a stack-based buffer overflow, allowing remote code execution. This vulnerability, identified as VDB-252261, has been publicly disclosed, increasing the risk of exploitation. Despite early contact, the vendor has not responded to address the issue.
