Summary

CVE-2024-0990 is a critical vulnerability that has been found in Tenda i6 1.0.0.9(3857). The vulnerability is located in the function formSetAutoPing of the file /goform/setAutoPing of the httpd component. By manipulating the 'ping1' argument, an attacker can trigger a stack-based buffer overflow remotely. The exploit has been publicly disclosed and there is a potential danger to organizations as it allows an attacker to execute arbitrary code or crash the affected system. The vendor has been notified but has not responded to the disclosure.
