Summary

CVE-2024-0977 is a vulnerability in the Timeline Widget For Elementor plugin for WordPress, affecting all versions up to and including 1.5.3. The vulnerability allows authenticated attackers with contributor-level or higher permissions to execute arbitrary web scripts by injecting them into pages through image URLs in the plugin's timeline widget. This can be done when a user accesses an injected page, changes the slideshow type, and then reverts it back to an image. The vulnerability is classified as medium severity with a base score of 5.4 out of 10. To remediate this vulnerability, it is recommended to update the plugin to a version that addresses the issue.
