Summary

CVE-2024-0896 is a stored cross-site scripting (XSS) vulnerability affecting the Beaver Builder WordPress Page Builder plugin. Versions up to and including 2.7.4.2 are vulnerable to this issue. The weakness lies in the plugin's insufficient input sanitization and output escaping for the button link parameter, which allows authenticated attackers with contributor access or higher to inject arbitrary web scripts. These scripts will execute whenever a user accesses an injected page, posing a significant security risk.
