Summary

CVE-2024-0825 is a vulnerability found in the Vimeography: Vimeo Video Gallery WordPress Plugin for WordPress. This vulnerability exists in all versions up to and including 2.3.2 and allows for PHP Object Injection through the deserialization of untrusted input. Authenticated attackers with contributor access or higher can exploit this vulnerability to inject a PHP Object. While there is no POP chain present in the plugin, if there is one in an additional installed plugin or theme, it could potentially lead to arbitrary file deletion, retrieval of sensitive data, or code execution. The base severity of this vulnerability is rated as HIGH with a score of 8.8 according to CVSS:3.1, indicating a significant potential danger to organizations that use the affected plugin.
